Day 3577: It’s just like riding a bicycle

As I prepare to facilitate my first in-person therapy group at the hospital since the beginning of the pandemic, I’m thinking of the saying “it’s just like riding a bicycle.”

“It’s just like riding a bicycle” — referring to things we used to do but haven’t done in a while — is meant to be reassuring. However, for me, riding a bicycle is tiring, uncomfortable, and possibly dangerous (because I’m on anticoagulant medication). So I hope that doing my group today is NOT just like riding a bicycle.

Do you see anything that’s just like riding a bicycle in my images for today?

.

I hope that getting into work on October 17, 2022 is not just like riding a bicycle (or a bus) but rather like riding a working car, because I had to call AAA three times yesterday when my car wouldn’t start. The last AAA person, who replaced the battery but also said that my alternator is going, said “Your car has a 1000% chance of starting tomorrow.”

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “it’s just like riding a bicycle.”

.

If you haven’t left a comment for a while, it’s just like riding a bicycle.

Thanks to all who helped me create this “it’s-just-like-riding-a-bicycle” post, including YOU.
