Yesterday morning, people with concerns talked about them in a therapy group. There were concerns about
- themselves,
- each other,
- health,
- health care,
- the health care bill,
- money,
- housing,
- nature,
- the country,
- the world, and
- the future.
When those concerned people shared their concerns, we also discussed what we do when we’re concerned.
I’m concerned that list might be difficult to read, so here it is:
What do I do when I’m concerned?
Sit with the concern
Breathe
Think
Feel
Focus
Take a break
Move
Consider changes
Accept (in the terms of the Serenity Prayer)
Love
Be creative
Balance
Take what power I can
Seek and tell the truth
See the opportunities in problems
I see the opportunity, here and now, to ask what you do when you’re concerned.
Any concerns about my other photos from yesterday?
Here‘s some music about concerns from Chris Andrews.

What concerns me most is business concerns carrying the most weight in professions meant to be caring
That concerns me too, Derrick. Thanks for caring.

No concerns, love following your site, maybe concerned, I’m reminiscing too much tonight. ♡
No concerns, I love that you follow my site. ❤
I usually pray and sit silent or listen to some music when I’m concerned
Great ways to deal with concerns, Karen. Thanks for the comment.
Fretting, Ann, gives me a big, obvious furrow on my brow and draws a comment from my dear wife Karen. And Karen’s comment gets me back to center.
I love the way Karen is concerned about you, Mark. You were both in my dream last night, concerned about each other.
When I’m concerned I drink coffee ☕️
You’re not alone in that, New Bloggy Cat.
I’ve always been partial to calling anything that’s active “a going concern”. Concern doesn’t have to be negative, especially when it’s concern for something important. It’s synonymous with attention and even care.
Needless to say I’m very glad your blog is quite a going concern.
Thanks, as always, for your concern, attention, and care. ❤
When I am concerned about something, I isually try to become as informed as I can. When I.am concerned about somebody, I often make them a cup of tea.
Thanks for all that, Maureen. ❤
I don’t have any concerns at the moment. Should I be concerned about that?
No.
Nice to see Harley strolling on the deck, surveying his domain. Great view! Evidently his earlier concerns no longer trouble him!
More nice views from you, Sunny!
You forgot one bullet point: Drink. Only joking…I’m not much of a drinker (if at all) but I’ve always loved the “thought” of having a big glass of wine to help mellow my concerns. But life, full of turns as it is, has no room for a drunkard at the wheel!
I have no concerns about how you live your life, Claudia!
Forward Ann, forward.
Forward together, David.
