Day 3524: Thoughts

As soon as I wake up, the thoughts start.

“What do I have to do today?” “What do the cats need?” “Am I ready for my trip?” “Is my son okay?” “What am I forgetting?” “Who’s in danger?” “What might go wrong?” “Who hasn’t gotten back to me?” “What’s the next right move?” “Is the November election going to turn out the way I want it to?” “What’s going on with the climate?” “Where are the good people?” “Are we all doomed?” “What mistakes have I made or might make today?” “Who’s mad at me?” and “What would be helpful to blog about?”

What thoughts are in my images for today?

My thought, here and now, is that we all want someone to understand us.

Here’s what I find on Twitter when I search for “thoughts.”

Any thoughts about this answer to my question on Twitter “What’s in a cat’s brain?”

Feel free to express your thoughts in the comments section, below.

Finally, grateful thoughts for all who help me express my thoughts in this daily blog, including YOU.

  1. Ahhh, the racing mind upon awakening. The remembering. Get up, breathe, one foot in front of the other. Bathe, brush, breakfast. Same as yesterday. The single most important thing (besides breathe) GET UP AND MOVE!!!

  2. I literally wake up with thoughts of it being exciting to see what will happen today. once I remember what day it is.) I am like a 3 year old with some life experience.

  3. An interesting fact about the fruit we call coffee is that the early 18th century was marked by what was known as “the gin craze”. It was awful and destructive but at the same time that gin consumption declined and coffee shops gained popularity we had the Enlightenment. Perhaps that’s just a coincidence, but it’s a sobering thought.

  4. I like your last picture best! We have a 12 year old Boston Terrier! There’s a lot going through her brain! Most of it says, “Let’s Play!” We used to have a cat … or rather he had us!

  5. Be good and be well and be content where you land on this excursion, Ann.

  6. I seem to have to work harder and harder to tame runaway thoughts. I think for one thing we simply have too much input to deal with. It’s noisy “out there.” 🤷‍♀️
