Day 4155: Places to avoid

I hope this blog is not one of those places to avoid for anybody.

For me, places to avoid are mostly unhelpful places in my mind — where my perception is skewed because of past negative experiences. These places predict failure, misery, and pain, despite all evidence to the contrary.

While I can’t totally avoid these mental places, I’ve learned to leave them more quickly, getting to better and more productive places as soon as possible.

Do you see places to avoid in my images for today?

.

I hope the Daily Bitch isn’t referring to my upcoming concerts at the Lilypad in Cambridge.

I can only imagine what I’ll find when I search for “places to avoid” on YouTube.

Places to avoid never include gratitude, so thanks to all who did not avoid this blog today, including YOU!

  1. thanks for the images, stay healthy, cheers annie

  2. This blog would never be a place for me to avoid! Right now I am out of town with lots of responsibilities but I will be home in a few days and catch up on a week’s worth of posts.

I love your combination of words and photos today. Do you have a new camera or something? The photos of Joan and the bunny are very clear.

You asked your Twitter fans what kind of pizza they like. I like pineapple and hot banana pepper pizza, without any meat. We always order three of those!

    • I always love your combinations of words, Maureen. And I don’t have a new camera; the animal models were just better on this day.

  3. I used to dread crowds, but then I became a Deadhead and learned to feel at home in them. I used to dread large department stores, but then I got a Costco card. I used to be afraid of swimming, but then I went to the Caribbean, where the water literally holds you up. So many delights I would never have known if I had avoided them all.

  4. It’s interesting that today is Astronomy Day. So much about space—everywhere outside of Earth—makes it seem like a place we should avoid. Even our own Moon is a cold, inhospitable place. And yet they still call to us.
