You can learn a lot — no matter how old you are — by listening, watching, staying curious, and being open to new experiences.
You can learn a lot by doing something you’ve never done before, even if it’s scary. For example, I’m learning a lot by preparing for my first concert/live album recording of my original songs.

You can learn a lot by reading novels written by people from another culture, both how they are “just like us” and how they are oddly different. How characters react to challenging situations, for instance. How things we might take for granted are, sometimes, disturbingly different. And we learn a lot in discovering why.
