Day 3571: Progress

I’m making progress on today’s blog post — I’ve come up with a title based on the images I have to share with you.

Here’s a definition of “progress” …

As you progress through the rest of this post, do you see evidence of progress?

  1. Those photos of water damage in your washroom reveal damage that was even more extensive than I had guessed. How frightening and sad! It’s hard to imagine something like that going on out of sight. I’m so sorry that this happened to you and Michael.

The day that brigadier general Pulaski died is a bit of a puzzle for me. The 9th or the 11th? Either way, I am sure that he did not regard it as progress.

I am still thinking about your bathroom. Are these photos taken from the early days of the repair? Or is this further damage that you have just discovered? I am a bit worried. I can’t think of anything reassuring to say about those photos except that wood and insulation are more easily repaired than bodies and if a shocking decay has to turn up somewhere, it’s better to be beneath the bathroom tile than on a CT scan.

Just a tiny drip of water can cause so much damage!

  2. Debbie T

Today is my younger daughter’s 30th birthday. How nice to know she was born on the International Day of the Girl!

    • Happy birthday to your younger daughter, Debbie! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  3. The progress made by Marie Curie is notable because she was a woman who excelled in what, at the time, was believed to be a man’s field. She also purposely named polonium, which she discovered, in honor of Poland and in support of its independence.

  4. Wow! You needed progress in your bathroom remodel. I have photos that look eerily similar from a couple of bathroom remodels in our home’s history! And I have wanted to watch the “Last Movie Stars” series. You’ve reminded me to do so.

I don’t totally understand all that goes with your heart monitoring, but I can follow along closely enough to see that you are doing well—that your numbers have improved. I am so glad, Ann! Progress takes place in so many little ways, and I’m glad to celebrate yours. ♥️

  5. your bathroom interior walls could be a halloween horror film in itself. I’d call it ‘walls!’
