Day 2842: I’m mad about ___

Because I’m mad about so many things right now, I’m going to perform “I’m Mad About You” — which I wrote when I was mad about the last U.S. Supreme Court Confirmation Hearings — at a remote Open Mic this Friday, October 16, 7 PM – 9 PM, EDT.

Because I’m mad about/in love with sharing my performances, here’s the link to sign up to attend that Open Mic:

You might be mad about missing your chance to see and hear “I’m Mad About You” unless you sign up by this Thursday.

Are you mad about any of my photos from yesterday?

If you’re mad about anything, VOTE!!!

I’m mad about how this photos has the word RIP in it …

… which I did.

Here‘s my performance of “I’m Mad About You” at the Jam’n Java Open Mic two years ago, on NOVEMBER 3.

Please express what you’re mad about in a comment, below.

I’m mad about collecting and expressing gratitude, so thanks to all who help me blog about all the things I’m mad about, including YOU!

Day 2840: What’s missing

What’s missing, for me, is

  • good leaders,
  • courage from those with proximity to power,
  • trust,
  • kindness,
  • honesty,
  • accountability,
  • expertise,
  • sanity,
  • common sense,
  • respect,
  • owned responsibility,
  • trust,
  • justice,
  • the USA I thought I knew,
  • in-person meetings,
  • comfort,
  • hugs with friends,
  • peace of mind, and
  • Oscar the cat.

What’s missing in my latest photos?

That last photo shows a question I asked my Coping and Healing group yesterday, after making sure I wasn’t missing other important issues. What’s missing for many women are a sense of self esteem and self worth, so some members of the group had trouble answering that question. Other group members helped provide the missing answers.

What’s missing from this post is missing music,

comments, and thanks to all who support me in not missing a day of blogging, including YOU.

Day 2835: People who hate people

People

People who hate people

Are the schmuckiest people in the world.

They’re children needling other children

And yet letting their grown-up side

Hide ‘cause of hurt and pride,

Acting more like children than children.

Haters are miserable people,

They’re the suckiest people in the world.

One person, I’m thinking of one person

Who has a feeling deep in their soul

Saying you’re the asshole.

It’s like hunger and thirst,

The worst, to be a person who hates people.

People who hate people

Are the unluckiest people in the world.

People can find “People” sung by Barbra Streisand here.

What kind of people do you see in my photos from yesterday?

People, people who thank people, are the luckiest people in the world.

Day 2814: The Heat of the Day

Yesterday, when I was walking around in the heat of the day, I heard “The Heat of the Day” by the Pat Metheny Group.

The music of the Pat Metheny Group has helped me get through a lot of heat of many days, but I can never remember there being so much heat to get through before. Here and now, there’s the heat of

  • uncontrolled wild fires,
  • climate change,
  • the pandemic,
  • elections,
  • unrest,
  • injustice,
  • distrust,
  • lies,
  • ignorance,
  • personal attacks, and
  • panic about the future.

In all that heat of many days, it feels like we’re heading to the end of the world.

In the heat of my writing this post, the ironically soothing “To the End of the World” is playing, which is helping me deal with the heat of a new day.

Can you see the heat of the day in these images?

I do believe we’re stronger together, but the heat of these days seems to be driving us apart.

In the heat of this day, I will be providing crisis services remotely and training a new social work intern to withstand the heat of the day at the hospital.

In the heat of the moment, I shall chill by looking for your comments on this “Heat of the Day” post.

In the heat of your day, please remember my gratitude for all, including YOU.

Day 2802: Suggested Locations

Apparently, my iPhone calendar makes suggested locations for events. Let’s see if I can locate any proof of that kind of suggested location.

I did spend my vacation day yesterday in the suggested location and in other locations very close to the suggested location.

I made sure to be in locations last night to see the full Corn Moon. My first photo, located above, suggests that I was thinking about the Corn Moon all day.

Before I took the last photo located above, I passed by some young neighbors I hadn’t met before, located outside their home. Here’s what transpired at that location, as I walked by with a mask located on my face.

Them: Hello!

Me: Have you seen the moon?

(pause) (during which some thoughts like “how weird am I?” located themselves in my head)

Neighbor: The Corn Moon?

Me: Yes! It’s beautiful.

After I continued on my way to locate the Corn Moon at the end of our street and then turned back, I saw that my young neighbors had followed me to locate the beautiful moon too.

Then, I returned to the suggested location to finish rewatching the Fred Rogers documentary  “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”

I wish that somebody like Fred Rogers was located in the White House and I plan to make my best suggestion about that with a future vote in a suggested location.

Today, my suggested locations include home and near home, again, and all suggestions indicate that those will be my suggested locations for quite some time.

Let’s see what YouTube suggests for this “Suggested Locations” post.

There are so many places that I am not allowed to visit these days, but I still love being in my suggested location.

The suggested location for you to express thoughts and feelings about today’s post is in the comments section, below.

The suggested location for gratitude is anywhere and everywhere, so thanks to all, including YOU.
