Day 2571: Battles

This has been an interesting week here at The Year(s) of Living Non-Judgmentallywith titles including Day 2569: I’m so done, Day 2570: Antisocial, and now Day 2571: Battles.

Is this blog turning into The Year(s) of Living Combatively?

I don’t think so, but I have noticed a lot of battles around me lately.  Do you see evidence of that in these photos?

I fell asleep on the couch last night and missed the anticipated battle between Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders at the latest debate of Democrat Presidential hopefuls.

Here‘s “Cabinet Battle #1” from Hamilton:

What are your thoughts and feelings about battles?

I need to battle traffic to get to work on time, so thanks to all who help me create this daily blog, including YOU.

Day 2430: What would you like the power to do?

Yesterday, when I had the power to return to my work as a group therapist at a powerful Boston hospital, I saw this sign:

I would like the power to:

  • reverse climate change,
  • increase the love in the world,
  • return the missing to their loved ones,
  • fight for what I believe in,
  • change many of the world’s leaders,
  • offer support to all who need it, and
  • stop myself and others from unhealthy patterns of thoughts and behaviors.

I don’t think I have the power to do all that, but I do have the power to share my other photos from yesterday:

What would you like the power to do, my lovely readers?

I also have the power to share this song:

You have the power to comment and I have the power to respond.

I also have the power to express my gratitude for those who help me create these daily blog posts and for my powerful readers, including YOU.

Day 1820: Merry

Merry is a  word so rare

One that people seldom share.

Christmas is the perfect time

to use it in a  blogger’s rhyme.

Why is the sound of “merry”

So, so extraordinary?

Here’s hoping we’ll all be merry

On days that are more ordinary.

Last night, for merry parity

Instead of gifts, we gave to charity

Including Habitat for Humanity,

a merry bastion of sanity.

Here are merry photos from the night

Filled with love and lots of light.

God rest ye merry gentlemen,

Let nothing you dismay.

Here‘s a song to celebrate

This merry Christmas day.

Merry thanks to all who help me write

And to all my merry readers, good day and night!
