Day 3719: I am woman

I am woman and

  • I pointed out in a group yesterday that that women were interrupted way more often than men,
  • I have many wonderful women friends, including my life-long friend Barbara, whose birthday is today,
  • I know that women often have trouble accepting their own anger and their own awesomeness,
  • I’m very good at word games, and
  • as usual, I’m sharing the Daily Bitch Calendar and other images with you today.

I am woman and I’m glad I’m writing this post on Girls Write Now Day, International (Working) Women’s Day, National Be Nasty Day, and UN Day for Women’s Rights & International Peace.

Here’s what I find when I search for “I am Woman” on YouTube:

I’ve also been hearing this in my head as I’ve been creating this I-am-woman post:

I am woman and I am grateful to all the human beings who help me write this daily blog, including YOU!

Day 3099: Tell me something good

Yesterday I posted this on Facebook:

Tell me something good because

  • I‘m doing a workshop about my Coping and Healing groups today and I have pre-presentation jitters,
  • I have to make a difficult speech in a business meeting today,
  • bad things happen to good people,
  • good things happen to bad people, and
  • Michael discovered yesterday that there’s a leak from our shower to the outside of our home, which can’t be good.

Tell me something good you see in my images for today.

.

Tell Me Something Good” is a great song by Chaka Kahn.

Tell me something good in the comments section, below.

I tell you something good at the end of each blog post by expressing my gratitude to all who help me blog every day, including YOU.

Day 1504: Pardon our appearance

Pardon me for noticing, but people seem very concerned about appearances.

Pardon the appearance of two signs of that in today’s blog.

Are there appearances of anything that need pardoning there?

Pardon me for this: When I’m not at my best, I often want to be pardoned for my appearance.

Please pardon the appearance of the ten pounds I’ve gained since my heart surgery in September.

Pardon the appearance, here,  of Judd Apatow‘s explanation for recent weight gain:

“It’s very hard to lose weight in the Trump era, I’m trying so hard to have it not turn into 30 pounds. I think it tests our ability to not want to numb out. There’s so many things that are hard to hear every day that you do want to have some Oreos. Like people say, what do you invest in during the Trump era? I feel like, Hostess Cakes. Most of us are just scared and eating ice cream.”

Pardon the appearance of other photos I took yesterday.

Pardon several appearances of a classic tune about pardoning appearances (appearing here, here, herehere, and here on YouTube).

Pardon the appearance of one more photo to express my gratitude to all who have appeared in this post today and to you — of course! — no matter what your appearance, here and now.
