I’ll be taking a vacation from work, but not from blogging, starting two weeks from today.
Here and now, I feel like I need vacations from
- worry,
- negativity, and
- all the cognitive distortions including catastrophizing.
I don’t know why I can’t seem to take permanent vacations from those, but any vacation at all feels great!

The last time I took a trip, which was to Cincinnati, when my friends picked me up one of them grabbed my suitcase. I said “I know I’ve got a lot of baggage but I’m seeing a therapist.”
I know the one thing you won’t leave behind is your sense of humor.
