Day 3512: Showing up

If you’ve been showing up for this blog for years, you might remember I’ve learned that the secret of life is three things:

  1. Show up.
  2. Be gentle (with others and yourself).
  3. Tell the truth.

That simple wisdom keeps showing up for me. Now, let’s see what images are showing up on my iPhone.

Those National Days will be showing up on Twitter soon, posted by this left hander.

Here’s a song that was showing up for me on my walk yesterday:

Here’s another version showing up on YouTube:

Thanks to all strangers and friends showing up here and now, including YOU.

  1. I can always do one, often two, but not always three of the things on your list.

  2. Ann, that first photo is lovely! As for my dreams, lately it has been strangers.

What do you do on days when you don’t want to show up?

  3. Your list is excellent. I do often think that it takes a little wisdom to balance between showing up and being kind to ourselves. It seems these days that I feel the weariness of being present to others these days. It may just be that I need a vacation. LOL!

  4. The original host and creator of the radio show “Says You!” was Richard Sher who’d frequently end by saying, “This show is best when we get your questions, your comments, but most of all when you show up.” I’m glad to be showing up here.

  5. I absolutely love and agree with your 3 secrets to a good life. showing up is so incredibly important and I thank you for showing up for us each day.

  6. It’s the truth that I find you to be kind in all your moments, Ann.

  7. Powerful and simple wisdom Anne. Thank you for always showing up and being you 🙏🏼💐💖
