I am sometimes overwhelmed by

  • the news,
  • work,
  • responsibilities,
  • other people’s pain,
  • people’s responses to me on social media,
  • worry,
  • hope, and
  • the human capability for cruelty and kindness.

  6. I agree that the feeling of overwhelm is the experiencing of growth. something always happens, or doesn’t, and life goes on. the trick is in how we respond when it does or doesn’t happen.

  7. I’ve noticed it can be very hard to understand why sometimes I’m overwhelmed. It might not be associated with any one particular incident or concern, but sometimes I have to just stop in my tracks and wait for it to pass.
