Day 3276: Voices

So many have voiced profound thoughts about voices, including these:

.

Do you see (or hear) voices in my other images for today?

In honor of Go Caroling Day, here are many voices performing “Carol of the Bells.”

I look forward to hearing your voices in the comments section below.

I hope you hear the voices of gratitude from me, every time you visit this daily blog.

  1. Some excellent quotations

  2. Sadly the voice of Joe Manchin seems to be against the best interests of his fellow Americans!

  3. Some wonderful, thought-worthy quotes there. I’m going to try practicing one or two of them.

That’s a very red bird! Is it a jay?

I found your performance of “I Don’t Like You” on Youtube, saw that the date was 2019, realized that “You” was probably a certain president (and not your blog readers!) and then looked up Joe Manchin (I’ve been in a Canadian pandemic fog and am not good with names), and put it all together. Your performance was excellent and fun. Loved your mischievous smile at the end.

In my province, where you have to be at least 6 months past your second vaccination and still wait for an invitation in order to get a booster shot, I am looking forward to getting a booster in 2022, and worrying a lot about the sharp rise in cases. Even my friend who is a doctor in his late 60s who sees patients in person and has been exposed twice, hasn’t had a booster yet. In Ontario, by comparison, they are now making boosters available on demand to anyone over 18 who is 3 months past their vaccination — even though we began to spike before they did. Things vary so much province by province.

Looking forward to hearing some good stories and news in 2022. And your voice, in song or on the page.

I can’t seem to hear your song when I click on it, Ann, but I;m sure I would like it. I like Nietzsche’s quote.

  5. glad to hear your voice after dealt with the tech gremlins trying to quiet you, loved hearing that version of carol of the bells too – my fav christmas song and what i use to create an interpretive winter solstice dance with my kinder. i like hearing my own voice, because it took me a long time to find it, thought not sure others are as happy to hear it. ) i also never get tired of hearing kind and gentle voices.

  6. I remember your “I don’t like you” song and I like its honesty, which made me smile. Keep using your voice!

  7. I like a lot of different voices, including yours, but I don’t like Joe Manchin either. That aside I was just thinking of Dylan Thomas’s “play for voices” Under Milk Wood and his advice to the actors: “Love the words.” I think that’s good advice generally. To understand each other better we must listen to and love the words.

  8. I hear you loud and clear, Ann.

  9. Voices are such an earthly thing. They’re only heard on earth as sound is just vibrating air, and outer space has no air to vibrate and therefore no sound is heard there.
