Day 3269: Do you want to have a conversation?

Yesterday, I asked our talkative cat Joan, “Do you want to have a conversation?”

According to the definition …

… maybe “conversation” is the wrong word. However, I seem to be having conversations with many non-people these days, including conversations like these:

Do you want to have a conversation about what it’s like to have those kinds of conversations for months and months? Or do you want to have a conversation about my other images for today?

Do you want to have a conversation about the conversation that the Daily Bitch is describing today? Or do you want to have a conversation about the Stephen Sondheim song I quoted in my Twitter conversation?

I love the way that Audra McDonald, Christine Baranski, and Meryl Streep are having conversations with each other and with Stephen Sondheim during his 90th birthday celebration in 2020.

Do you want to have a conversation with other people in this blog? If so, please leave a comment, below.

Do you want to have a conversation about gratitude? I do! Thanks to all who are reading this conversational blog post, including YOU.

  1. Thank you for this conversational platform, Ann. We need your views as a great hang-out spot.

  2. I used to believe I had a split personality. Turns out I was right. Oh no you weren’t!

  3. I enjoyed your conversation with Joan.

My cat also often likes to face away from me and then turn her head to reply. Lately she has been jumping on me at 3:30 in the morning and tried to have a face to face conversation then, but I cannot figure out why.

    • Joan tries to get me up early, too. Yesterday somebody told me they read an article about how we may think we’re training dogs and cats, but they are actually training us.

  4. I also enjoyed your conversation with Joan and it reminded me of the time another friend’s cat disappeared for three days. When the cat came back it meowed around the clock for three days and then stopped. We’re still sure it was just sharing the story of its adventures.

  5. I certainly do, but with Joan of course (no offense). I was hoping you’d someday post a video of either one of the Buddhas or Nobels, and you did!

  6. in answer to your what did you used to believe that you still do? I have always believed in the goodness of people and in with world working in magical ways I never could imagine in advance.
