I thought it was great that someone whose YouTube channel is called “Two-Minute Writer” has a video that’s nearly three minutes long. I also think “Weary Willie Day” is both a great title and a great way to remember Emmett Kelly who was not only present at the tragic Hartford Circus tent fire but helped put out the fire and comforted survivors.

When I was in an editor’s seat at the big daily I felt entrusted to put a great title on every story that passed through my hands, Ann, even though we called it a headline. I remember when golfer Hale Irwin won his second U.S. Open I sent the photo through to A1 with the title Hale, Yes! But the editor for that hallowed page changed it to something more straight-news. The things that stick in my brain.
