It’s fascinating to me how much it improves my mood to title today’s blog post “Fascinating” (rather than “Afraid to Look” or “Big Setbacks” or other more negative titles I was considering).
If I can approach life with curiosity and openness to how fascinating everything is, I feel stronger, more hopeful, and better equipped to meet the inevitable ups and downs of existence.
Which of today’s images do you find fascinating?

It’s fascinating to me that today is National Black Dog Day, National Hair Day, Fire Pup Day, National Homemade Cookies Day, National Manufacturing Day, National Body Language Day, AND World Smile Day.
Here’s Gershwin’s “Fascinating Rhythm“ as performed by Jacob Collier…
… and my lyrics for “Fascinating Rhythm” — “Vaccinated Women.”
It’s fascinating to me that when I wrote that, seven months ago, I had no idea how controversial the COVID vaccines could be. It’s fascinating that I had no hesitation in getting the booster shot as soon as I could, and yet people I love and respect are refusing to get vaccinated at all.
What do you find fascinating? I look forward to reading your fascinating comments, below.
It’s fascinating how much gratitude helps, so thanks to all who read this blog, including fascinating YOU!

I find it fascinating there are still moments of joy to be found in the thick of ongoing pandemic.
That is fascinating and thanks for bringing the joy with this comment, Ruth.
Leonard Nimoy said the word “Fascinating” was key to his portrayal of Spock. He described himself “emoting all over the place” early on, and in an episode where Spock says, “Fascinating!” he said it with great emphasis. The director reminded him that, as a Vulcan, Spock doesn’t have emotions and told him to tone it down.
I find it fascinating that so much goes into the art and craft of acting, and fascinating that you’ve developed such facility with the ukelele, and amusingly fascinating that Joe thought he was speaking into a muted mike.
I am glad that you got vaccinated, and am intrigued that naming your post “fascinating” rather than something else improved your mood, and I also found Christopher’s information about Leonard Nimoy and Spock quite fascinating.
Is it OK to breathe in again now?

I find it fascinating how the leaves change colors in the Fall
I have enjoyed your Vaccinated Women performance many times and do find it completely fascinating that you are so entertaining! You have endless talents, Ann, and being fascinating is a talent, too. 🙂
I always find Michael’s meals fascinating, Ann.
I find your song fascinating Ann. Didn’t know your poetic side either.
