Day 3156: My brain on vacation

My brain — and the rest of me — is on vacation until September 7.

Because of the kind of work I do (I’m a clinical social worker specializing in group therapy), my brain really needs a vacation.

Because of all the pain and suffering out there, I need to work really hard to get my brain on vacation.

Do you see evidence of my brain on vacation in my images for today?

My brain is on vacation, so I have no idea how I’m going to celebrate this precious day.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “my brain on vacation”:

My brain on vacation still looks forward to your comments and is always grateful for YOU!

  1. these pics all scream vacation from everyday life. please be safe with all the incoming storms.

  2. Cats, cake, and gorgeous clouds—enjoy your time off!

  3. Glad that you are getting a break, Ann. ‘The pause that refreshes,’ as my grandmother used to say… Hope you have a lovely break and stay safe…happily, it sounds like the storm may be losing a bit of steam.

  4. Knowing you as I do, Ann, your brain on vacation is quite busy “relaxing” as hard as you possibly can.

  5. My Dad and I have this theory that one must vegetate to recharge your brain. The definition of vegetating is laying around, relaxing for a good period of time, not dashing around and doing things intermittently. Happy holidays to you Ann! And there are several questions that cannot be answered with “It depends” – Are you alive and are you pregnant – there are no depends in that, you either are, or you are not. Oh and cute a** puppy videos make me laugh, oh and goats with pajamas on too, and chickens with pants on – those all make me guffaw. And videos of Alpacas too.

  6. Joan has a very sweet face. I get the sense that she is totally supportive of your vacation.

  7. I think my brain takes vacations entirely independently of me!

I love your beach umbrella set, Ann. I was looking at the clouds in your third photo- they look like Dumbo the elephant. I hope you have a relaxing vacation, Ann

  9. Music, nature, animals and photography make brains go on vacation, even when physically at home.

  10. Music and water…my perfect combination for a brain vacation. 🙂 I hope yours is very pleasant, Ann, and successful!

  11. Enjoy your much deserved break, Ann 💛🙏💛
