Day 3112: What are you addicted to?

What are you addicted to? I’m addicted to several things, as you might see in my images for today.

There are also some common substances that I am NOT addicted to.

I’m still addicted to Buffalo Springfield.

I’m addicted to your comments, in case you didn’t know.

I’m so addicted to gratitude that I end every blog post with thanks to all, including YOU.

  1. For what it’s worth, Ann, I’ll listen to Buffalo Springfield every chance I get as well. I’m surprised you didn’t answer Steely Dan/Donald Fagan though, unless you were leaving those open for my addiction (along with coffee and blog reading in the morning …).

    • I am addicted to Steely Dan and your comments, Mark, and I was thinking about my earliest rock addiction.

  2. Blogging, it seems

Addicted to music, except for C&W

  4. nature, puzzles, words, alphabets, carbs, animals, kind people, music, film, food, love

  5. I enjoy listening to Buffalo Springfield, haven’t drunk coffee since 2018 when I woke up one morning not liking it at all, and also don’t drink alcohol. But even though we somewhat surprisingly have all three of those things in common, that’s not why I read your tweets.

I like to think of myself as a reader rather than a follower, and I like your writing.

  6. Plants! Beautiful yucca blooms. A yucca plant is a woody, perennial shrub belonging to the Agavaceae family and a native of North America. Many yucca varieties adapt well to urban settings, cold climates and temperate zone characteristics. Although most yucca plants grow in USDA plant hardiness zones 5 to 10, certain varieties extend the range from 3 to 11. The species were confused with the ‘cassava’ plant (Manihot esculenta), and mistakenly derived the generic name from the Caribbean Indian Taíno word for ‘yuca’, which is similar but totally different. So ‘yucca’ is technically a misnomer, but colloquially accepted. Its common names include Adam’s needle, common yucca, Spanish bayonet, bear-grass, needle-palm, silk-grass, and spoon-leaf yucca. Spanish bayonet, bear-grass, needle-palm, silk-grass, and spoon-leaf yucca.

Harley looks as the true Buddha in that pose.

  7. I’m addicted to breathing. Always have been. I do it every chance I get!

  8. My addictions? Coffee, writing and dogs!

  9. Sometimes I’ve gone for long stretches without writing but when I did, even for just a few minutes, I felt better. I think that fits the definition of an addiction: if I don’t write I feel bad, and when I do I feel better. Although having played with PowerPoint I could see myself very easily becoming addicted to it just because it’s so much fun.

  10. I’m addicted to coffee, for sure, and a need for silence! 🙂
