Day 3038: The Oscars

I never miss the Oscars, which I’ve been watching through all my aspirations and careers, including film school student.

Last night, I watched the Oscars without our late cat Oscar, who always deserved an Oscar for best supporting cat. For many reasons, watching last night’s Oscars just wasn’t the same.

How many Oscars do you see in today’s images?

Here’s the best all-round acceptance speech from last night’s Oscars:

Yuh-Jung Youn definitely deserves an Oscar and much more.

I have no Oscars to award today but just gratitude to all who help me create this daily blog, including YOU!

  1. I have never watched the Oscars but I enjoy reading about them afterwards and then seeing films I have missed. Of all the nominated films this year, I have only seen Trial of the Chicago Seven. We loved it. Is there another you would recommend?

I was glad to see your pics of Oscar.

  2. I’m sorry the Oscars missed in so many ways, including missing Oscar, although I think they had their moments. Glenn Close certainly had a surprising moment, and I liked the open seating which seemed to harken back to the old days of the Oscars. But definitely they should bring back clips.

  3. aw, Oscar….
I’d say your photo of the flower petals on the ground deserves an award for most beautiful –

  4. You get my best reward for this post Ann 😻

  5. You must really have missed Oscar on Oscar night! I’m sure he was good company, and had much to say about the different nominations! I have never missed the Academy Awards, and have hosted parties and on other occasions watched them entirely on my own. I didn’t really enjoy the pared down version this year, but I still watched and will again next year. 🙂
