Day 3004: Learning the hard way

Do you see examples of learning the hard way in today’s images?

We seem to be learning the hard way about gun violence and common sense gun laws in the USA.

There is some learning the hard way in The Gun Song from Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins.

Thanks to all who helped me create this “Learning the Hard Way” post, as we all keep learning the hard way together.

  1. I have never understood the continued “right to bear arms” in the USA but I do understand that many ultra wealthy people would not be quite as wealthy if the gun laws were changed. Once again money rules over common sense!

  2. and you think we would have learned by now. I don’t know how it can get any harder.

  3. Part of the tragedy of the continued senseless gun deaths is that they don’t represent learning the hard way. They represent an unwillingness to learn.

  4. I’m learning the hard way that Harley is missing in these images. Live and learn, they say, but Harley’s absence, no way.

  5. Yes, being strong this last year has been the hard way but the right way, Ann.

  6. I tried to come up with some kind of clever remark tying learning the hard way to the horrific gun violence, but I couldn’t. We’re not learning anything the hard way. We can’t seem to learn anything at all when it comes to a reasonable response to assault rifles and stricter background checks. We are really in a sad state.
