Day 2915: Giving and getting

This year, we are neither giving nor getting any material gifts, which feels like a gift to me.

Here are some quotes about giving and getting:

.

Now it’s time to be giving you my latest photos and I hope you’ll be getting them.

Now, on Christmas Eve 2020, I’ll be giving you a question and I hope to be getting some answers: Which of today’s photos best represent this year for you?

When I search YouTube for “giving and getting,” I’m getting this:

I’m also getting this:

If you’re giving the Olsen twins your attention, you’re getting that appreciation is love. As always, you’ll be getting both from me, here and now.

  1. I’ll say it’s the big footprints left on the sidewalk, Ann. Happy holiday weekend to you all. You get great wishes from Karen, Ellie B and I.

  2. Maureen

The rock that says “Everybody’s got a place where they belong”. I love it, reminds me of options a place I learned a lot.

  3. I love your approach to the holidays, giving is always more of a gift than getting, and like mark, I l love the footprints on the sidewalk, I see them heading to a bright future ahead.

The photo that best describes 2020 for me is the one with the rock written endure. I think We’ve all endured a lot. But, there is another- the photo of the long side walk, It’s been a long and winding road and it’s destination is hopeful. However, I do love the first photo of the trees on the water.
I agree with you, Ann, there’s too much materialism in this world, which really doesn’t apply to Christmas, really to any other day of the year.
Just to keep busy, and to keep my ethnic tradition, I’ll be cooking.
I wish everyone a safe and peaceful holiday

Mine is definitely the “Find Your Strong” rock. Both of my kids have struggled through this year as they are trying to become more independent and break away from home, as they normally would in any other year. But, they are here at home with their parents working and wishing they were anywhere else at times. I have to be the strong and keep us all moving forward and looking to the future when I just don’t know what that will look like or be like for them. Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas!

  6. You give so much each day and I hope you get as much back. That OK Go song came to my mind even before I got to it.

  7. The food always calls me but I love thexred Believe sign on the white fence. For I DO believe. Today and every day. Bless you this season and ALL seasons, my friend.

  8. Giving and getting is great with Harley’s poses and your images!

  9. A Christmas with no material giving/getting – – – and just loving? I like that. Sounds good to me. And that tomato with melted cheese on top, that looks good to me. May have to try that for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for the idea, Ann. Have a Merry Christmas!

  10. Harley. Definitely Harley.
