Day 2906: Today is a special day

Today is a special day because I’m alive, against all odds, and so are you.

Today is a special day because I have special images to share.

Today is a special day because I swear that I don’t care if I f*ck shit up today. I have spent far too many of my special days worrying about f*cking shit up and, believe me, I am not the one who is f*cking shit up now.

Today is a special day because I found an open spot on the crowded list for a remote Open Mic this Friday evening. If you want to join the audience for my special performance of “People Who Hate People,” you have three special days to sign up using this link:

Here is Mr. Rogers with “Today is a Very Special Day.”

Today is a special day because I get to facilitate a “Coping and Healing” group and I get to see your comments on this blog.

As always, I am grateful for every special day I spend with you!

What a coincidence with the title of today’s post!!
    Today is my birthday!!
I guess it is a special day

  2. Congratulations, love, and hugs to all of us who are having a special day today.

  3. I did not know that — about 2020 — and… it worked! I’m 2020. ❤

Ummm… that math works for every year? The year you were born plus the number of years you’ve been alive always equals the current year. Though it also depends whether it’s calculated before or after your birthday happens in the year. What am I missing? >.<

  5. Today is my dog, Katie’s 14th birthday, so we’re celebrating over here too. I’m glad you’re having a special day!

  6. Anne Lamott’s math checks out for me, at least this year, but my birthday still isn’t for a few days yet. Still I wonder what the next thousand years will bring us. At the present a year takes approximately 365 days and 20 minutes to orbit the sun. If it continues at that rate, and if I’ve done my math correctly, we’ll have an extra two weeks over the next thousand years.
That seems like a good excuse for a vacation.

  7. and I’m just going with it, math was never my favorite, but it works, and words….

  8. I don’t think I want an extra birthday 🙂

  9. Here’s to the big day, Ann.

  10. Lovely day!
