Day 2902: What are people thinking?

“What are people thinking?” is something I often ask in my Coping and Healing groups.

“What are people thinking?” is also something I am increasingly asking myself as I look at the news these days.

What are people thinking on Twitter recently?

What are people thinking about the photos I took yesterday?

When I search YouTube for “What are people thinking?” many of the videos focus on what rich people are thinking, which, to my way of thinking, explains a lot. Personally, I don’t care what rich people are thinking. I think people think about rich people way too much.

Here is “The Dangers of Thinking Too Much; And Thinking Too Little” (and what were people thinking punctuating that title like that?)

Here is what one person is thinking about that video:

I think that sometimes I may think too much about thinking too much.. I think.

What are people thinking about “Think” by Aretha Franklin?

What are people thinking about gratitude, here and now ?

  1. I am thinking that there is so much work to be done when our new president is sworn in, Ann.

  2. I can tell you this. I have been overthinking about what people are thinking these days.

  3. At least you can never be accused of being thoughtless, Ann.

I wonder if there is a concept of being “thought-free,” like “carefree” or “worry-free”? Maybe “overthinking-free.?

  4. Right thinking people are thinking what on earth are those idiots thinking!

  5. Most of the time someone asks me “What were you thinking?” the most honest answer I can give is, “I wasn’t.”

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what others think….

  7. Harley is happy being oblivious to what are people thinking.

Ann, I sent you a message. Did you get it yet? Happy Chanukah! 🙂

  9. I think that it’s often about people who are not thinking

  10. I am thinking this 2020 has been the most challenging year in my 81 years on earth and I am going to be very happy to see 2021 turn the corner. It’s BOUND to be better!

  11. I really laughed when I realized your topic, Ann. My family has called attention to the fact that I all too frequently for their taste say out loud, “What are they thinking?” This is said in response to stories I hear on the television or radio, read in the newspaper or simply people we know. I didn’t realize until recently that I repeat this phrase dozens of times a day. I’m now self-consciously censoring myself, but I still think it all the time. What ARE people thinking!!! Maybe we don’t really want to know!

  12. I’m thinking that, all too frequently these days, many people are thinking of no one but themselves…with dire consequences.😢
