What are you waking up to today?
I’m waking up to
- stress, stress, stress all around,
- more terrifyingly ridiculous news about the transfer of presidential power in the USA,
- frightening spikes in the number of COVID cases and deaths,
- a world where climate change threatens everybody,
- egregious social injustices and inequalities,
- people’s incredible levels of denial,
- the amazing resistance some people have to admitting mistakes and owning responsibility,
- a brand new day, and
- these new images on my cell phone.

I love waking up to the Daily Bitch.
Here’s “Waking Up” by We The Kingdom.
Every day, no matter what, I’m waking up with gratitude, so thanks to all who help me create these daily blogs, including YOU!

WHat a sky that is!
It was, Alex! I like waking up to your comments.
😃
May our days ahead be less and less stressful, Ann.
May we both wake up less stressed for many, many days ahead, my friend.
I like Mark’s comment – may they be less and less stressful. May decency and common sense and good sense overtake the seemingly endless stream of ridiculousness coming out of a man (and his cohorts) who cannot accept the reality he faces, who does not believe in truth-telling and instead feels compelled to keep creating fake news and constant lies.
And may you savour the sweetness around you, the tender moments and the loving care of all.
Thanks for your truth telling, my sweet and loving friend!
…and may older men accept grey hair, and defeat, gracefully!
Thanks for aging gracefully and for this very wise comment!
That November 20 thoughts and prayers seems particularly apt today!
It’s wonderful to wake up to your thoughts, my friend.
I didn’t turn on the tv yet. What happened now? Did you hear Giuliani invent stories yesterday? He must have had a gulty conscience because he was sweating so much that his hair dye was running down his face.
What happened keeps changing but it’s all the same. I wish people would wake up to these invented stories and lies. As always, thanks for your comments.
I honestly don’t know how anyone is naif enough to believe these stories. I thought I was naive….
You and I are waking up on the same side of the bed today!
It’s a good side! Thanks for the comment, Claudia.
I hope you don’t have a stress injury, Ann. Sending a hug, whether you do or don’t. Thank you for the photos.
Your hugs are great for healing any injury, Maureen, and thank you for all your wonderful comments.
Because I always think about words I’m wondering why both stress and distress are negative. Shouldn’t distress be a counter to stress? I’m not going to stress about, it, though–in fact thinking about words is a great way to de-stress.
Thanks for all your de-stressing words, my friend.
What a beautiful image of Harley in the stairs Ann. I’m waking up to a new iPhone with a wide angle lens.
That’s a beautiful thing to wake up to, Maria. Thanks for sharing.
and today i had a spontaneous dance party with my pre-k class in our courtyard, and other classes came out to dance with us, and adults came from all over the building and it was a beautiful way to end our day
I LOVE waking up to this beautiful image, beth.
