Day 2849: For Life

Just like today’s Daily Bitch …

… I’m a cat lady for life.

I’m also the mother of Aaron and the ex-wife/friend of Leon for life.

I am a member of my high school class for life and I’m looking forward to tonight’s Zoom reunion. I’m also a show-off for life, so I’ll be singing my original song “We Grew Up in the Sixties and We’re in Our Sixties Now.”

Other things I am for life:

  • The wife of Michael.
  • A lover of the sea.
  • An explorer.
  • A survivor.
  • Somebody who believes in the healing power of groups.
  • A picture taker.

I’m a fan of Michael’s cooking for life and that’s vegetarian meatloaf!

I’m also a musical comedy geek for life, so this song is now running through my head:

I’m also an optimist for life, so I’m hoping people will be dancing together in the streets again, some day.

Finally, I am grateful for life and for all of you!

  1. 😀

  2. A daily reader (with just s few misses) of your daily blog since December 15, 2014, I will remain a daily reader for life.

  3. I am for life: A lover of nature, a dreamer & a caregiver.(•‾⌣‾•)و ̑̑♡

  4. please share the recipe for that meatloaf.. 🍖

    ann pls 🥺

    • Michael doesn’t work from recipes but I’m asking him to share his secrets about the vegetarian meatloaf. I will post that info as soon as I can. ❤

      • 😊 thanks very much! been wanting to eat less meat but only know two good recipes (vegan wonton soup & fried ‘chicken’ tofu). 😃

    • Here’s the recipe from Michael:
Two 16 oz packages of Beyond Beef
      2 eggs
      1/2 cup of milk
      2 cups Panko bread crumbs
      1 onion chopped
      8 cloves of garlic minced
      1/2 cup of minced celery
1/2 cup of roughly chopped pitted prunes
1/2 cup of roughly chopped pistachio nuts
      1 tbsp of cumin
      1/2 tbsp of chili powder

Saute garlic, onion and celery with cumin and chili powder, let cool.
Combine that with all the other ingredients, mix, and shape into a loaf.
Bake at 360 degrees for about 40 minutes.

President Kennedy’s quote is the antithesis of Trump’s asinine remarks about our lost men and women. I hope you enjoy your zoom reunion, Ann

  6. I have a collection of Sholem Aleichem stories that’s so big I’ll probably be reading it for the rest of my life. On another note I know reunions are often a chance to look back, but I hope you’ll also enjoy looking forward to much more life to come.

  7. I am a Harley admirer for life.

  8. I am seeing that you are very possibly a fan of taking photos, and animals and wry humor, and life.

  9. That long shadow of you reveals a bit of autumn light, much as I hate to admit it. The good thing is it will bring us apples and cider. I’m glad you are an optimist–it gives people so much to look forward to.

  10. I am really glad that you are friends with Aaron’s father, although of course it is none of my business. And I am glad that you like to take photos.

  11. You mean much to many, Ann.
