Day 2609: No Filter

Do you know people who have no filter — who say whatever comes to mind?

I thought about people with no filter when I captured this image yesterday:

As I wrote here recently, when  I facilitate therapy groups, I filter my comments through the question of “Who is it for?”

As I’ve shared many times starting here, I do my best to filter my behavior through these three things:

  1. Show up.
  2. Be gentle.
  3. Tell the truth.

Here are my mostly unfiltered photos from yesterday:

In my groups, I have no filter when I encourage people to be selfish (i.e., practice self-care) and to be in the moment.

Here‘s “No Filter” by Fifth Harmony:

No filter needed for your comments!

No filter for the gratitude I have towards all those who help me create this daily blog, including YOU.

Good Saturday Morning Ann. Thought the Life Bingo Game said it well. Thank you. All my best to you.

  2. Know one? Many times, Ann, I am one.

  3. I liked the life bingo chart, too. And the advice to show up, be gentle and tell the truth. Easier said than done, sometimes, but good to keep in mind!

We’re always in the process of “becoming” since the world is in a constant flow’ hopefully better individuals, better, thinkers and doers… Have a nice week-end, Ann

  5. So very true

  6. I know you can’t share everything–that would be like having everything, and, as Steven Wright said, “You can’t have everything; where would you put it?”–but I do enjoy what makes it through your filter.

  7. Oscar and Harley don’t know the word ‘filters’, they were probably discussing it when you took the shot.

  8. No filter is bad – when combined with no brakes it is worse.

  9. I generally think filters are important, but every once in a while I wish I had the courage to take mine off and just let it rip. LOL! Love the Daily Bitch about water parks. That’s hilarious!
