Yesterday, in a Coping and Healing therapy group, which people attend as they need, we talked about needs.
When somebody in the group said they needed kindness, I needed to ask, “Who else in this room needs kindness?” Everybody needed to raise their hand, including me.
If you were in that group and I asked you, “What do you need, here and now?” what would you need to answer?
Kindness?
Appreciation?
I don’t know what I need right now, so I need to think about it?
Something else?
My needs (in case you need to know) include blogging and sharing photos.
Now I need to
- take my little yellow car in for the 40,000 mile check up it needs,
- meet my friend Barbara, who I’ve needed for over 60 years,
- continue celebrating my birthday weekend, and
- share this song about needs and wants:
If you want or need to comment, please do so below.
As always, I need to express my gratitude for all who help me create this daily blog, including YOU.
thanks for all the tips, there is so much going on in our days, we often forget to look at the stuff we take for granted, health included, be blessed
Thanks for your comments, which I need! ❤
A Buddhist may say that needs enslave one needlessly, yet I belong to this wheel called humanity which keeps on turning regardless of my saying. However, noble needs convert to good deeds, so this lessens the unnecessary yearning, and load, which in turn binds my soul even further.
We all need comments like this, Maria.
I think we need to be recognized and listened,. and of course, appreciated We all need a shoulder to lean on.
Thanks for sharing these universal needs.
We all have needs a big need is kindness, patience and understanding
Thanks for your kindness, patience, and understanding, Jo-Anne.
I need to stretch my back after an afternoon of gardening!
We all need to stretch ourselves!
I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, and I’ve started to wonder, do I need to?
Thanks for another wonder-ful comment, Chris.

May this special weekend bowl you over with kindness, Ann.
Thanks for being just the kind of friend I need, Mark.
I need to know who dropped those croissants and why. Did the bag break? Were they stale and thrown out for the birds (and rats, let’s be honest). Or maybe the person fell or saw their long lost love and cast the pastries aside….
We both need to know and we can both only guess, Lisa!
Kindness covers a lot of ground with me! I think that’s actually the least we should expect from each other, but at times this seems to be in very short supply. I do hope that you have had a wonderful birthday weekend, Ann. I need to tell you how special you are! 🙂
I need to tell you how special you are to me, Debra.
