Day 2616: Allow for the possibility

Allow for the possibility that there’s a new helpful phrase on my whiteboard at work.

Allow for the possibility that

  • your worst fear is not true,
  • you matter more to other people than you think,
  • others will follow their conscience,
  • people can place long-term advantages above short-term profits and greed,
  • we can work together towards common goals no matter what our differences, and
  • some of my other photos from yesterday fit today’s topic.

Allow for the possibility that Michael’s cooking keeps getting better.

Allow for the possibility that Texas State University students did a great job performing “The Art of the Possible” from the musical Evita:

Allow for the possibility that

  • comments are turned off for that YouTube video and
  • your comments are welcomed here, below.

Allow for the possibility that I’m grateful you’re reading this blog, here and now, and that I want you back in the future.

  1. Today is going to be a great day, Ann.

  2. One of many useful things I’ve learned here is the term “catastrophizing”. Knowing the word helps me avoid it. When we’re really open to all possibilities it’s very easy to be open to the possibility that things are going to turn out all right.

if we allowed for possibility, and it were realized, it would be a wonderful world- but it we also have to be prepared to be en guard , so we should always have a “plan B” in this imperfect world. We have to cling to hope. Have a nice day everyone, and you as well, Ann

  4. we also need to be prepared to fall flat on our face in the mud, just saying

  5. One possibility I did not allow.for was that my Amtrak/Cantrail bus would break down in the middle of a Washington State highway this evening. Not sure how I will get home, or when, but I really like this bus driver. He is unflappable.

  6. I really like that whiteboard message! I will bring that image and reminder with me all week. 🙂
