Day 2445: Hard to describe

It’s hard to describe

  • what’s going on in the world,
  • what’s going on inside,
  • values,
  • moods,
  • feelings,
  • body experiences,
  • what you’re thinking,
  • what other people are thinking,
  • what’s important,
  • love,
  • hope,
  • grief,
  • conflict,
  • connection,
  • anxiety,
  • depression,
  • stress,
  • problems,
  • solutions,
  • the past,
  • the future,
  • the present, and
  • many other things.

And yet, I try to describe what’s hard to describe here, every day, with words and pictures.

It’s hard to describe how much it helps me to

  • blog,
  • eat healthy meals prepared with love, and
  • look for what’s beautiful in the world.

Here‘s “How Hard to Describe What I Am” by 13th-century Persian poet Rumi:

What’s hard to describe, for you?  I hope you describe it in a comment, below.

The depths of my gratitude for all who help me create these posts and all who read them (including you) may be hard to describe, but here goes:

It’s hard to describe how cool your blog is!

  2. My ongoing frustration with inaction and refusal to at least attempt to reduce human carnage.

  3. You tie us together with our world so very well, Ann.

  4. It’s hard to describe how every time I come here, my spirits are lifted and my day is all that much brighter!

  5. You are very good at describing how hard it is to describe the indescribable. You are very good at lots of things! Do you think that you will be able to post a video of part of your Fringe performance? They say a video is worth a thousand words to the power of 10 triple cubed.

    • You are very good at describing things too, Maureen. I will do my best to post a video of part of my Fringe show. ❤

  6. I find it hard to describe, how I see the future in our world at the moment, Ann.
We need more love and less hate. You are so good to describe the hard things 🙂

  7. The first time someone described The Blue Man Group to me I said, “I want to see that.” She described them very well, although she saw them in an off-off-Broadway basement theater and I saw them from the balcony in a large theater, but the important thing, I realize, is that no matter how well The Blue Man Group is described seeing them live is something that can really only be experienced.

  8. It’s hard to describe the feeling I get when I see a clean coffee table. Man.

  9. This took me back to 1960. This South Pacific recording was the favourite of my first wife. We were engaged that year. I spent hours on her parents sofa listening to the lyrics – “Fools give you reasons” has stayed with me for ever. Most of my readers will know that we married young and she died aged 21. That was also hard to explain https://youtu.be/cbskoBOHyc8

  10. It’s hard for me to describe how grateful I am for the way you bring laughter and gratitude in your posts, while still acknowledging the pain in the world!
