Day 2259: Reassuring

I find it reassuring that

  • I’m pretty sure I know how to spell “reassuring,”
  • so many people read and comment about my blog,
  • I have life-long friends like Barbara, whose birthday was yesterday,
  • even though my son, Aaron, tells me I need more reassuring than most people, I’m getting better and better at reassuring myself,
  • I’m not freaking out about tax season this year,
  • I’m not stressing about a presentation next week, and
  • at two thousand two hundred and ninety-five consecutive blog posts, I can still find post titles I haven’t used before, like “Reassuring.”

What do you find reassuring?

Shall we see if there’s anything reassuring in my photos from yesterday?  Sure!

It’s reassuring to me and probably to her therapy patients that my co-worker Alice has so many stress balls in her office.

Here‘s a playlist  on YouTube titled “Hopeful Reassuring Songs.”

It’s reassuring that there are almost fifty songs on that playlist, including “All Will Be Well,” “There’s Nothing Wrong with You” and “Brave.”

It would be reassuring to me if you left a comment, but please do whatever is reassuring for you.

Reassuring thanks to all who helped me create this reassuring post and — of course! — to YOU.

  1. The photos you find me every day are quite reassuring, Ann.

  2. Reassured that you’re better and stronger than you think. ٩꒰ ˘ ³˘꒱۶~♡

  3. On an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation we learn that this is how Data defines “friendship” in this way: “As I experience certain sensory input patterns, my mental pathways become accustomed to them. The inputs eventually are anticipated and even missed when absent.”
A short time later, concerned that Data will die, Riker tells him, “It’s just that our mental pathways have become accustomed to your sensory input patterns.” Data replies, “I understand. I am also fond of you, Commander.”
I think about the blogging world where few of us will meet in person, but your regular inputs are very reassuring.

  4. I f ind your posts reassuring

  5. I reassure you Oscar is watching.

  6. Janis Moulton

I am reassured, and cracked up, about the Easter Basket Case.

  7. I find it reassuring that after 4 hours at the Department of Motor Vehicles I have renewed my driver’s license. I have dreaded that appointment, and it is now in my rear view mirror. Onward and forward, dear Ann! 🙂

  8. Another case where my response wasn’t posted! I think my phone has difficulty loading it to this site
