Yesterday, when I was having the time of my life visiting my friend Megan’s office, I captured this still life with my camera:
Life is like a camera. Focus on what is important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t work out, take another shot.
Yesterday, I did focus on what is important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and take another shot at recording my first original song, “I Don’t Like You,” because my life-long friend Arnie suggested I change the camera from vertical to horizontal.
I don’t like negative people (even though they help me develop) but I do love both Arnie and Megan, and I captured the good times yesterday.
Do you think life is like a camera? Take a shot at a comment, below.
Thanks to Megan, Arnie, my son, my camera, and — of course! — YOU.
Thank you for your life and your camera, Ann.
Thank you for your focus, Mark.
Love seeing life through your eyes.
Love the way you look, Janis.
And like the camera life has speeded up so fast that we are in danger of letting it run away with us
Thanks for taking the time to slow down here, Derrick.
It’s very funny that this version of “I Don’t Like You” was “take two”–a quick glimpse behind the camera. The beauty of art–whether music, photography or anything else–is it allows us to see the world through another’s eyes. I just hope to never be one of the a-holes within your view.
Somebody funny once told me, “Everybody is somebody’s a-hole.” I believe that you, Chris, are nobody’s a-hole.
Oh I do like this slice of your life in photos Ann. My favorite is the European Wax capture. Great shots. Thank you. All my best to you.
Thanks for focusing on the positive, JoHanna. It’s always lovely to see you here.
Love that card “the mess is so often where the magic is.” So true. And love the wild at heart picture of you!
Thanks for the magic and love in your comments, Lisa!
This took me back to when I was a child my grandfather would “your life is like a camera, that’s out of film” he thought he was being funny, I thought he was being cruel.
I love the way you look at things, Joanne, and I’m sorry your grandfather expressed that view.
It’s enjoyable seeing photos from your day, and I always enjoy it when you share your musical talent! I also really like the saying “The desert works constantly to forbid it, and still the cactus blooms.”
It’s always enjoyable seeing you here, Debra!
Life is like a camera, but no one knew the brain would act as a news reporter.
I appreciate the news you report, Maria.
