These days, many things seem spooky to me, especially politics.
Do you see anything spooky in my photos from yesterday?
Oops! Who knew that Boston Cream Pie was spooky?
I look forward to spooky comments, below.
No matter how spooky things are, I can still find gratitude, so thanks to all who helped me create this spooky post and — Boo! — to YOU.
The two with white spot on forehead and you inset are red spooky
My red-headed son Aaron can be spooky, Derrick.
Kapow is such a great word
This is such a great comment
Boo! to you Ann. Not Boo Hoo, though.
No Boo Hoo when I see you, Ruth.
I am haunted by the realization that I have never had Boston cream pie and don’t know what it is.
Bos·ton cream pie
noun
a round, two-layer cake that is filled with custard or cream and frosted, usually with chocolate.
Thank you.
You may remember the “Wear Sunscreen” essay written by Mary Schmich and published in 1997 in the Chicago Tribune that made its way around the internet as “Kurt Vonnegut’s Graduation Speech At MIT”. I read somewhere that Schmich called Vonnegut and told him about it and his response was, “Spooky!”
The recorded version is fun, though.
It’s spooky how this speech has been attributed to other people, too. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
I don’t do spooky and I don’t do Halloween, I don’t watch horror movies either
I don’t do spooky either, Joanne. Thanks for this non-spooky comment.
One of the things that most impresses me and brings me back each day, Ann, is you’re admitting that politics are “spooky,” which is certainly a description I’d agree with, but also that there are still reasons for gratitude. We do need to hold onto that! The rather randomly abandoned cob of corn is almost as spooky as the broken eyeglasses! And once again, dinner looked good! Nothing spooky about that. 🙂
Your comments are always a reason for gratitude, Debra.
Ahhh….that reminds me to have spook-ghetti for dinner. ╰། ❛ ڡ ❛ །╯
Look at my blog tomorrow for a spooky pairing for your spook-ghetti!
Agreed, Ann. It gives me a shiver.
This looked like a fun day! Nothing spooky there!
