I usually don’t like focusing on things I don’t like, but I like today’s title because I started writing a song this week with these lyrics:
I love a lot of people,
My friends know this is true,
Human beings are my favorite things
But I don’t like you.
I don’t like the melody I’ve written but I think I can make it better. I do like that every person I’ve sung that for has laughed at “But I don’t like you.”
Also, I woke up this morning thinking “I don’t like small talk. I like big talk.”
I don’t like being pushy, but how would you finish “I don’t like …”?
I don’t like that I took only three photos yesterday.
Are there any of those photos you don’t like?
There are several “I Don’t Like …” songs on YouTube (here, here, and here):
I don’t like when I forget to thank people, so thanks to all who helped me create today’s post and — of course! — to YOU.
I like this ending, Ann:
I do like giving second chances.
I do like you, Mark.
Thanking people is such a simple gesture and yet it can make a world of difference to someone. Thank you for being here everyday with your words of wisdom.
Thank you for your words of wisdom, Carol, which I like very much.
I laughed.
🙂 And you make me very happy.
We make each other happy, which I love!
❤
I don’t like being late somewhere. I don’t like hypocrisy, I don’t like seafood but I definitely do like your post! 😊
I definitely like your comments!
I don’t like a Boomtown Rats video being blocked in my country on copyright grounds
I don’t like that either. Let’s try again:
Thanks very much, Ann. Believe it or not I’ve never heard it before
I read this in a McDonald’s where I stopped on my way home from a beach vacation. I don’t like ending vacations or fast food and I was hit by the thought that I really don’t like negativity.
I love that you read my posts, Chris.
I hope you are okay, Ann. I am not sure why, but this blog makes me anxious. I don’t like feeling anxious.
I don’t like when you’re anxious, Maureen, so I will tell you that I am more than okay. I’m great
Thank you,Ann. I am relieved!
Sugar talk? Feed me!
I like every sweet visit from you, David!
We all have things we don’t like but I like to focus on the things I do like, things like this blog and my life
I like you so much, Joanne!
I don’t dislike this post Ann 💕
I don’t dislike you, Val — much the opposite. ❤ ❤ ❤
I don’t like Monday, I’ve dear friends funeral to go to…….
I don’t like the loss of dear friends, dear Ivor.
I don’t like negativity. LOL!
I love your words and your laughter!
Geez! You make me blush, Ann!
Now that the weather is getting better, I bet you are prepared to really enjoy your move to the seashore!
I really like living near the seashore!
I think I would, too. Any time I visited family near the ocean, I felt invigorated.
