Day 1931: No outlet

What happens when there is no outlet for

  • feelings,
  • thoughts,
  • beliefs,
  • opinions,
  • uncertainties,
  • vulnerability,
  • strengths,
  • talents,
  • honesty,
  • secrets,
  • pain,
  • pleasure,
  • differences,
  • connections,
  • needs,
  • disagreements,
  • the urge to move forward,
  • the wish to stay still,
  • learning,
  • self-expression,
  • growth,
  • communication,
  • self-doubt,
  • self-confidence,
  • mistakes,
  • humanity,
  • creativity or
  • vision?

One of my outlets (for all those things and more) is this daily blog, where I can share what I experience within and around me.

Another outlet for me is music (found here and here).

What are your outlets?

Letting out my gratitude for all who help with this daily blogging outlet (including you!) is another great outlet for me.

  1. Thank you, Ann. Images are great! Yes, blogging is an outlet for me, as well. The safe place to speak. I enjoy your blog, you help me hold the belief about safe spaces.

  2. It is quite amazing what comes pouring out, Ann. Thank you.

  3. I guess we’re stuffed. A good set of photos, Ann

  4. One of my outlets is coming to visit you and your blog. I know it is going to be good day when that happens!!!

  5. That reminds me of Steven Wright’s joke “I live on a one-way dead-end street. I can’t remember how I got there.” Maybe it’s because I grew up on a dead-end street that I’ll sometimes travel down roads with no outlet just to see what’s at the end. It may be necessary to turn back but they still take us somewhere.

    • Maybe it’s because we both grew up on dead-end streets that we have our own ways of traveling this world, Chris. Thanks for letting out what you do and even if you can’t remember how you got here, I’m glad you did.

  6. No outlet means a build up that leads to either a blow up or a melt down not things we want to see or feel

  7. Hi Ann, I’m back from being on my cruise, oh what a wonderful outlet !!

  8. Harley, psst! Here’s an outlet!
