Every day would be the first day of spring,
Every heart would have a new song to sing
And we’d sing of the joy every morning would bring.
If I ruled the world
Everyone would be as free as a bird,
Every voice would be a voice to be heard,
Take my word we would treasure each day that occurred.
My world would be a beautiful place
Where we would weave such wonderful dreams.
My world would wear a smile on its face
Like the man in the moon has when the moon beams.
If I ruled the world
Everyone would say the world was their friend,
There’d be happiness that no one could end
No, my friend, not if I ruled the world.
Every head would be held up high
There’d be sunshine in everyone’s sky
If the day ever dawned when I ruled the world.Β Β — Lesley Bricusse and Cyril Ornadel
If I ruled the world
Every blog would have a wonderful song
You’d be free to dance and/or sing along
Groups would help each person feel much more strong.
Different people would know that they belong.
Wearing goofy socks would never be wrong.
What would happen if you ruled the world?
No matter who rules the world, gratitude rules!
I’d go mad, if I hadn’t already been so
You might go mad, Derrick, but the world would be less mad if you ruled it.

Hail to you. Rule on my Queen βΊοΈ
You RULE, Miriam.
And YOU Ann just put a huge smile on my face. π
My friends would be happy, wealthy and wise.
And my world would be your world and your world and your world and our world, Ann.
I wish we ruled the world, Mark.
Ever since I saw Ready Player One a line that’s stuck with me is, “The Oasis was never meant to be a one-player game.” It was especially significant in a crowded theater because it struck me as a comment on movies, on art, and life in general. Everybody has a stake in the world we live in and everybody should have a part in ruling it.
At least that’s what I’d say if I ruled the world.
You rule the blogging world, Chris.
