Day 1890: Just breathe

Let’s just breathe as I own that  Oscar and I always watch the Oscars together.

What helps you just breathe?  For 22-year-old Oscar nominee Timothee Chalamet last night, it was this video message from his high school drama teacher, Mr. Shifman:

Shifman here. I’m here with a few of LaGuardia High School’s future Oscar contenders to leave you with a few familiar words: Just breathe. You always know where home is, pal.

I always know where home is, too, especially when I just breathe.

Just breathe as you take a look at two more photos.

It’s easier to love this day when I just breathe.

I watched Eddie Vedder just breathe and sing  Tom Petty’s “Room at the Top”  during  last night’s  “In Memoriam” sectionHere‘s Eddie Vedder singing “Just Breathe.”

Just breathe and take in my gratitude for all who helped me create this “Just Breathe” post and — (taking a breath) — YOU!

  1. Yes, always so important to remember

  2. Yes Ann, I’m breathing, “The Air We Breathe”

  3. Thanks for calming me on back-to-work morning, Ann.

  4. Love the tail wag joke

  5. Love the not-wagging of the tail!

  6. Love seeing Oscar with the Oscars. Hope the pic of familiar cat and familiar carpet mean that you are back at home, Ann, and were able to take a bit of time with Michael before your busy week starts.

I’ve never watched the Oscars, but over the weekend while the Oscars were on, my family and I watched Three Billboards and loved it. We watched it with our new, albeit very old, cat. She doesn’t have a name yet. Perhaps we should name her Oscar! (The two current suggestions for her name are: Good Queen Pumpkin and Princess Kaneko Cottonpaw)

    • I watched Three Billboards on the plane to Houston, Maureen, and I loved it. Thanks for taking the time to comment and best regards to Good Queen Pumpkin a/k/a Princess Kaneko Cottonpaw.

  7. Learning to just breathe is so hard for some people, not me for me it comes naturally

  8. While the “In Memoriam” part of the Oscars is always bittersweet to me my favorite part was when Kimmel took several stars across the street and interrupted the showing of “A Wrinkle In Time” to give people snacks and hot dogs. It was a fun way to be reminded that a nice surprise can make an enjoyable experience even better.

    • When I was watching the Oscars and just breathing, I took a little catnap with Oscar. Your comment made me realize I’d missed something enjoyable, so I watched that segment On Demand when I got home from work yesterday. Thanks for sharing the fun, Chris.

  9. Watching the Oscars with Oscar is the best.
