I often make To Do Lists, especially for Mondays. However, I’ve never made a list of what not to do before.
Here’s my first ever list of What Not to Do Today:
- Celebrate my birthday (since it’s four days away).
- Judge myself and others.
- Worry.
- Procrastinate.
- Curse out loud.
- Ignore the cats.
- Be a perfectionist.
- Facilitate a group (because my therapy groups don’t meet on Mondays).
- Start collecting miniature chairs (since I already collect watches).
- Regret the past.
- Be anxious about the future.
- Avoid.
- Assume.
- Beat myself up about what I’m not doing.
- Ignore the beauty around me.
- Post a video about “What Not To Do Today.”
- Celebrate Mozart’s birthday (because it was two days ago).
- Bake a cake like that.
- Be late for work.
- Specifically ask for comments about what would be on your “What Not To Do Today” list.
- Forget to thank all who helped me create this “What Not To Do Today” post and — of course! — YOU.
I like the idea of what not to do today list. We focus so much on making what to do list, because of ours daily routines and responsibilities. So maybe we should start to create also the other one too.
I like the ideas in your comment. Many thanks.
I’m not going to watch a speech tonight, Ann.
That’s going to be on my what not to do list tomorrow, Mark.
Great cleansing list!
Great comment!
Good list Ann! I would add … not to play with fire.
Good addition, Val!
The idea of a not-to-do list is so much fun and seems so healthy and helpful making is going to be at the top of my to-do list.
Reading your comments and reading your blog are always on my to-do list, Chris.
Nothing
Good one Derrick.
🙂 Many thanks, Mama
You are both something.
I am not going to stay dry today, since it is pouring rain. But I will try to maintain my dry sense of humour. I enjoyed your list.
I am not going to miss an opportunity to appreciate your dry sense of humor, Maureen.
Ahh, SOMOS has it correct. I won’t be able to stay dry today either – Seattle’s awash! What not to do is an awesome idea!
You have it correct, Janey! Thanks for another awesome comment.
Most of the time we make a to do list then we forget about doing stuff on it
Thanks for doing the stuff you do, Joanne.
