Day 1770: What are you afraid of?

What are you afraid of?

Within the last week, I’ve heard about people who are afraid of

  • the dark,
  • heights,
  •  war,
  • people who abuse positions of power,
  • the media,
  • molesters,
  • being seen as a molester,
  • the police,
  • world leaders,
  • science,
  • ignorance,
  • doctors,
  • dentists,
  • infections,
  • sickness,
  • aging
  • death,
  • taxes,
  • failure,
  • success,
  • school,
  • working too much,
  • working too little,
  • making mistakes,
  • driving,
  • bicyclists,
  • loss,
  • certain thoughts,
  • certain feelings,
  • feeling too good,
  • going outside,
  • staying inside,
  • action,
  • inaction,
  • the weather,
  • being alone,
  • crowds,
  • social events,
  • marriage,
  • divorce,
  • becoming less attractive,
  • becoming an adult,
  • men,
  • women,
  • cats,
  • dogs,
  • mice,
  • bugs,
  • snakes,
  • phones,
  • cotton balls, and
  • peaches.

Is anyone afraid of any of these photos?

I’m afraid that one major emotion is missing from that Time special edition cover.   Are they afraid of anger?

Here‘s how to let go of pain/fear/anger in 60 seconds.

Are you afraid of leaving a comment?  I hope not.

What am I afraid of?  Heights, the dark, the cold,  and forgetting to express gratitude to all who help me create these posts and — of course! — to YOU.

  1. What, me worry? I’ve found that the more I worry, the less effective I am at what I’m worried about. That being said, several items on that long list did look familiar. Have a great day.

  2. Hmmm….fears. Don’t have a lot of them, but have a lot of niggling worries where I make some up. You’ve addressed THAT in other posts. Thanks for this one!

  3. I feel pretty good that I am not afraid of peaches, Ann. 😮

  4. oh the list would be too long for here…. elevators, heights, flying, stormy weather, pain and suffering, bugs, just to name a few. I am never afraid to pop over to your blog however!!

  5. My biggest fear is spiders, apparently No1 in phobias. I’m getting better though and can tolerate the little ones…… ish

  6. I have a friend abroad who seems incapable of understanding he is in dire straits, thanks to lack of income and a landlord who, reasonably, expects a certain number of euros a month to let my friend live in the landlord’s apartment. I fear my friend will become homeless in a foreign land with no support system. Were I very wealthy, I would subsidize my friend. I am not, so just have to watch the train wreck happen….

  7. My greatest fear is being locked out of my house.

  8. Escalators – with those teeth things, and disappearing stairs. I avoid them at any cost.

  9. I’m afraid that I will forget that love trumps fear, Ann! ♡
    Diana xo

  10. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I first heard of “white coat syndrome”, for people who are afraid of doctors. It’s understandable, though. Who else tells you when you’re sick?

  11. too much fear in the society and in the world .
you have well highlighted the oroblem ? and also with

  12. …a great illustration
    Love ❤

  13. I am not afraid of any of these images because they are images and not real in my face things

  14. I’ve always had a fear of truly being myself and not being good at anything.

  15. I’m afraid of our world leaders….. And I’m also afraid of not saving up enough, to travel over to your America and see ya’all….

  16. Heights – but I think you know that
