Day 1715: What’s going on?

Often, when I read the news these days, I ask

What’s going on?

Just now, when I was trying to glean from online reports what’s happened and is happening in Florida, I asked that question again.

Then, I thought of the 1971 song written by Renaldo Benson, Al Cleveland and Marvin Gaye (going on here at YouTube).

What’s going on?  It seems like a lot of the same things are going on today.

As I was going on about my day yesterday, I took many pictures. Whats going on in these photographs?

What’s going on in that last photo reminds me of this post I wrote two days ago.

What’s going on with you?

As usual, gratitude is going on here for all who helped me write this post and — of course! — for my readers. I hope everybody is safe, no matter what is going on around you.

  1. It is quite something how it can be so lovely in one place and so dire in another on this coast we share, Ann.

  2. I see souls, as have been walking their path, Ann 🙂

  3. I’m not sure what’s going on over your way, but wishing all those in peril, a safe outcome. Lots of great photos today and I especially liked the footprints in the sand ones.

  4. It seems to be peaceful in your area – that’s what’s going on in your photos

  5. I can’t tell what’s going on because clearly the year is rushing by far too quickly and and Halloween–or, as I like to call it, the most wonderful time of the year–is almost upon us. And the one thing I do know is DAVE’S NOT HERE, MAN.

  6. “What’s going on ?” Sometimes, I am afraid of the answer to that one.

  7. I often have no idea what is going on in the world, in my world, right in front of me

  8. Looks like “Dave” has it going on, and that ugly hooded Halloween creature (that face!!) (at least I think its a face). For me what’s going on today is my continued willingness to come to an understanding of what I can and cannot control. Not storms or fires, but personal family issues. What’s going on there is definitely beyond my realm of understanding. It’s a good thing we can sing about it.

  9. Things are looking up in our world now that we’ve learned our Naples condo made it through the hurricane unscathed, although there’s no power and they say it may take until 9/22. But we’re up north fir the next few weeks and way. It’s all good!

  10. Nicholas Lawson

I went to the University of Cincinnati and the University of Westminster, and I find that Clive Davis is a mysterious figure to me, I understand that Harvard is where OKCUPID and FACEBOOK hail from and I understand that Harvard Law is the finest Law. I understand that no one from Harvard ever became President and of the schools that have United States of American Presidents the University of Cincinnati had William Howard Taft, yale has a political science bent to it that is frightening, I find that engaging in political science for example theoretical politics is an inferior pursuit as opposed to natural politics which focus on what actually is not what we want to be.
