Day 1426: What’s important?

What’s important?

Is it important that I’m returning to work next week after a two-month medical leave?

Is it important who occupies the White House?

Is it important that I make my own t-shirts?

Is it important that Fidel Castro died?

Is it important that I blog everyday, unless I am incapable of doing so?

Is nature important?

Is television important?

Is kindness important?

Are cupcakes important?

Is communication important?

Are pets important?

Are holidays important?

Are possessions important?

Are celebrities important?

Are you important?

Am I important?

Are people who are different from you and me important?

Are any of my photos from yesterday important?

Is it important that I watched Carrie Fisher on Stephen Colbert‘s Late Show and then in The Empire Strikes Back yesterday?

Is it important what music I include in these posts?

What’s important to me is what’s important to you, here and now.

Important thanks to all the important ones who contributed to this post and to you — of course! — because you are important, no matter what you think or feel.

  1. Loved the Star Wars video. 😉

  2. mmmmmmmmmm Turkey cupcakes!

  3. When something is important to us we also say it matters, and everything that we come into contact with is matter. That makes me think it all matters, whether here or in a galaxy far, far away.

  4. It’s very important that I’ve won 3 Pulitzers in a row.

  5. What is important is that you’re healed and hale enough to return to the work you love with the people you help. Cupcakes are important as are cats and all manner of tasty and/or cute. Presidents? For today I’m letting that topic go. Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. You’re important Ann. And what’s wonderful about that, is that you also make all of us feel important. ❤

  7. Great post!

  8. It is important that you overcame and now are heading back on course to something that is important to you. Your job. Everything in between is important too because it just is. ❤

  9. Those animals are so cute. That cupcake looks almost too adorable to eat. Almost haha.

  10. I would say all are important except cupcakes and celebrities. You can have a slice of cake. As for celebrities, many of us wouldn’t be so worried about who is gonna be occupying the White House if the next tenant weren’t a celebrity — because no way Americans would have elected a failed businessman with no government experience had he not been a celebrity.

  11. I hope your first day back at work is everything you want it to be. I bet your colleagues will be happy.

  12. The items on your list are important to me. Some maybe more than others, but I don’t think any are inconsequential. I am delighted you’re able to return to work and think that’s worthy of quite the celebration. Maybe some of those delicious cupcakes are in order! 🙂

  13. It is important to me that you are returning to work next week, Ann. That is a big event. I hope you are feeling well and are ready. You have been through so much and the things you have been through are important things.

    Also, your cat. Awesome.

  14. ‘Not as important as I think, not as important as I feel’, it’s quite deep if you think about it. I envy your tees.

  15. Do visit my blog 🙂

  16. Everything on your list is important I agree. It is also important to indulge in baked goods like the ones in your photos- at least IMHO. Excited for you to be taking the important step of going back to work!

  17. Are there any movie scores John Williams didn’t compose? It’s important to have kindness and light -doubt it will be residing at 1600. Ann you are a VIP today!

  18. An important post to consider Ann!
