- It’s the birthday of my looooong-time friend Lawry.
- It’s the birthday of my long-time friend and co-worker Megan.
- It’s the birthday of my son Aaron’s long-time friend Cameron.
- FIREWORKS!!!
- Happy birthday, America!
- Toasted marshmallows are more readily available.
- A day off from my work at the hospital, which is very important for self-care.
- People appearing in public with accessories more visually spectacular than usual.
- I wait all year for THE FIREWORKS!!
- The music (found here and here on YouTube).
Unfortunately, because I’m still running fevers (which I do NOT love), I won’t be able to go to any fireworks in the Boston area tonight.
Instead, I hereby present my own July 4th visual spectacular.
Do any of those photos say “July 4th” to you?
Happy birthday to Lawry, Megan, and Cameron and a happy July 4th to you!
A pox on the fevers
A pox indeed, Derrick. At least I don’t have the pox.
🙂
No wonder you love it so much.
I do have good reasons, Miriam!
so many birthdays! Bah Humbug is right to those fevers-fireworks on TV while eating chicken soup might be the right combination 🙂
That sounds like a great combination, Lisa!
Will you still need me when I’m sixty four,…..today!!
Your Yankee DD blogging pal- me.
Happy birthday, Ruth! Another great reason for me to love the 4th.
Bah Humbug to that fever, Ann. I like fireworks on tv…you can turn down the sound. ☺ Try to enjoy !
I will try my best, Van!
Happy 4th of July.. those are good reasons to love 4th. of July.
Thank you and a happy 4th of July to you!
If I said your body is giving you its own fireworks as it defends you or even that you’re finding small explosions of joy all around that might be more madness than optimism. Well, happy birthdays to your friends and happy 4th of July all around!
Whether it’s madness or optimism, Chris, I love it!
Looking forward to a sky full of light tonight!
I hope you got a lovely sky-full, Emilie!
Happy 4th of July to you and all the American readers of your blog.
And a Happy July 5th to you today, Maureen!
We had our 1st of July celebrations and to celebrate the American 4th of July, I gave birth to my oldest son 36 years ago. So every sound of fireworks has me doing my Lamaze breathing! Hope you get that grumpy cat out soon and feel better.
I feel better, right now, knowing that another wonderful human being was born on the 4th of July!
Happy America’s Birthday Ann!!!
Happiness back at you, Colleen!
This has got to be Oscar’s cousin. There’s only one Grump and that’s me.
Hehe, I knew this would push her buttons!
I hope she had a good July 4th!
Humbug to the fever!!! And BAH as well. Fireworks always say the Fourth to me! I hope you’ve ingested that chicken soup and that it works its wonders.
I did have the chicken soup. I’m hoping I’m on the mend. Your comments are as good as chicken soup for my soul!
Some pretty good reasons.
It’s more than pretty good to see you here, Joanne!
Yankee Doodle Dandy with Cagney
