You reading this, be ready.
Yesterday, on Mother’s Day 2016, my son Aaron and I were ready to read this on a tree in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA:
You reading this, be ready for all the other photos I took yesterday, as the sun was finally ready to appear after my rainy vacation week.
I, writing this, be ready to tell you, reading this, that
- yesterday was my best Mother’s Day ever and
- I’m ready to go back to work.
You reading this, be ready for this music by Curtis Mayfield:
Thanks to all who helped me ready this post for reading and to you — of course! — for being ready to read it.
the pictures speak for themselves… i am sure it was your best day… thanks for sharing
I was ready for your comment and I thank you for sharing it!
My pleasure
I want to remember those words on a tree and I love seeing a kitty on a keyboard Ann- happy Monday!
I love seeing you here on Monday and every other day, Lisa.
I actually wasn’t quite ready to read this line: Will you ever bring a greater gift to the world than the breathing respect that you carry.
I was so not ready it took my breath away!
Happy day after MOther’s day! Happy day back to work.
PS. I think you get up in the morning ready to have your best day no matter how ready the day is or not!
Happy day after Mother’s Day to you, Louise. My day is happier whenever you readily comment here.
Good morning, Ann! Your blog posts always give me a great start to my day when I take the time to read them. Love the idea of being welcomed to post poems on trees! Btw, I’m so happy to hear that you had your best Mother’s Day ever! That’s saying a lot!
You’re saying a lot, Sunny, as usual. I am always so ready to read your comments!
I had the pleasure of meeting William Stafford a short time before he passed away. I wasn’t prepared for how charming and quietly funny he was.
As a Boy Scout I was told to always be prepared, but, in spite of Tom Lehrer’s wisdom on that subject, I’m still frequently unprepared for life’s surprises. And I like it that way.
I like this comment, Chris, your way.
Glad to hear what a wonderful Mother’s Day you had. I love the way you notice and capture the smallest of things – a natural born writer.
I wasn’t ready for such a naturally wonderful and memorable comment, Bradley, but I am so glad I got it from you.
Ann,
An amen to your great Mother’s Day!
-Alan
An amen back at you, Alan!
So glad you had a great Mother’s Day, Ann.
I readily appreciate another great comment from you, Carol.
William Stafford still rocks!
