Day 846: Far away

Yesterday, my friend  Barbara and I drove only an hour from Boston to New Hampshire, but we got  so far away from

  • stress,
  • worry,
  • jealousies,
  • confusion,
  • pettiness,
  • pain,
  • judgment, and
  • fears about the future.

Here’s Barbara,  looking somewhat far away from me, over lunch:

Here are more far-away photos from yesterday:

Far and away, isn’t Barbara is the best get-away weekend planner, ever?!

Here’s a Far Away song for you all:

Carole King —  with the help of  James Taylor —  is singing “So Far Away” there, back in Boston.

Far and close thanks to Barbara, Carole King, James Taylor, getaways of any kind, Boston, New Hampshire, the good ships Ecsta Sea and Indigo Lady, water and fire, places to sit and rest, and you — of course! — no matter how far away you are.

  1. Is Carole King still around?

    • She’s still around today, Rajiv and probably far away from at least one of us. Thanks for getting up close here!

  2. That’s what I love about New Hampshire and. New England in general, you don’t have to go far to feel like you’re far away.

  3. Thank you for taking me along with you and Barbara I may be far away, but feel like I was right there with you! And how true that you can never have too much awesome! 😀

  4. I live in NH but it looks like you’re far away from me as I’m a little west of Nashua and it looks like you’re on the coast. But then again, tomorrow I’ll go far away the other way and spend some time in my other home in Dennis Port.

    • We’re right outside Portsmouth, Trent, and probably closer to you now than we were last week! I hope you have fun in Dennis Port.

  5. Very nice sight seeing around the boat dock.. I like those quotes in a couple of pictures. I guess non-judgmental could be one of the exception that you can more. Have a great Sunday 🙂

  6. Ahh lunch with a friend away from the noise and stress of the city sounds like an excellent idea Ann! Thanks for making me feel closer from so far away. ❤

  10. Pretty cool that boats are in their slips at that New Hampshire marina, Ann. Far out! It would be so fine to see your face at my door, Carole sings in that fine song. That’s what Barbara looked at in her faraway shots here, Ann. Great getaway.
