Reason #1: What’s outside the room.
Edinburgh and the Festival Fringe!
.
Reason #2: What’s inside the room.
This might be yet another example of the Cognitive Distortion of mind reading, but I think this creature, which I discovered in our hotel bathroom, is trying to tell me something:
You may read something else into that expression, but I see this:
Ann! Go out and enjoy Edinburgh, as soon as you can!
And who am I to argue with a purple duck?
Thanks for reading, everybody.
Hi Ann, you have to take the purple duck home with you! Heila.
Yes, Heila. I have to. As a matter of fact, this was also posted in my room: “APEX DUCK COMPETITION. Don’t forget to take your complimentary duck home, you’ll find it in the bathroom. Send us a fun picture of your duck to win a two night stay in our prize draw.” How can I resist THAT? Also, I wonder what kind of compliments I’ll be getting from this complimentary duck?
I got extras at the desk in the lobby and brought them back for Aaron and Victoria when we were there.
Bring me one please?
I had a duck like that but in the traditional yellow. Lost it when I moved apartments and I just decided to get a new one. 🙂
I agree get out and enjoy Edinburgh. Still the duck also says, when you get home have a relaxing bath with me , please!
This duck is very smart AND kind.
Great photos!
Thank you! I have to say it’s easy to take great photos in Edinburgh.

Thank you, Happy Purple Duck!!

I live for staying out of the hotel room as much as possible when on vacation.
LOL on the last photo & your comment. 😀
Thanks RoSy!! Maybe I’ll see another duck soon, when I return to Edinburgh next month.
